Vice President Ken Munson was elected to Director in November of 2006. He was elected to serve as Vice President of the Board for the year 2008. Vice President Munson's term ends in November 2010.
Vice President Munson is serving his first four-year term with North County Fire Protection District.

Director Munson is a retired USAF officer and is also a retired Regional Director of the Recording Industry Association of America. He has held a Private Investigator's license since 1981and assists attorneys in complex litigation.
Education:
Director Munson received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ottawa University in 1960. He graduated from the University of Southern California 's Institute of Aerospace Safety in 1968 and from the DOD's Defense Intelligence College in 1974.
Affiliations:
Director Munson is a member of the IAFC and was CSFA's chair of the Committee for Volunteers in the 1980's. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Southern California Fraud Investigators Association and is currently a member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, the National Council of Investigative and Security Specialists and is president of the Sycamore Ranch Community Association.
Awards:
Director Munson received numerous military citations including the Distinguished Flying Cross and several air medals.
Community Service/Other Boards:
Director Munson was a volunteer fire captain with the Orange County Fire Authority for almost 20 years. He was a station captain in charge of a twenty-five man company, which operated three pieces of equipment, a Type I fire engine, water tender and a special light-air unit.

Preventing fires in the wildland-urban interface and mitigating the damage when they occur.
