Administrative Office Holiday Hours:

North County Fire's Administrative Office hours will be slightly changed over the holidays.

12/24 - 7:00 to 12:00

12/25 and 12/26 - closed

12/31 - 7:00 to 12:00

1/1 - closed.

Normal hours will resume on 1/2/2015. All essential fire and EMS response services will continue through the holidays. NCFPD wishes you all a healthy and happy holiday season!

09-24-14 - Fire Station 5 Construction Update:

Here's the latest progress on our new station. We expect to take possession mid-October and have a dedication ceremony towards the end of the month or the first part of November.

08-27-14-District Administrative Office Closure:

North County Fire Protection District Administrative Offices will be closed Monday, September 1st in observance of the Labor Day. Essential fire and EMS response services will continue through the holiday.

08-19-14 - Fire Station 5 Construction Update:

Grading in preparation of concrete is underway around the Station. 

On the interior, tile, electrical fixtures and other related activities are occurring in advance of cabinets.

07-30-14 - Fire Station 5 Construction Update:

Progress on the new Fire Station #5 continues and completion towards the end of September looks like a reality.  The exterior stucco is complete along with most of the roofing.  The connections to underground utilities are partially complete along with installation of the fuel storage tank.  Electricians and painters are working on the interior and cabinets are on the way.

07-03-14 - Fire Station 5 Construction Update:

Great progress at Fire Station 5!  The exterior stucco colors are on and painters have started on the interior.  The masons are applying the stone veneer to the exterior walls and it looks great! 

06-17-14 - Fire Station 5 Construction Update:

The exterior stucco has made it to the “brown coat” phase and the color coat will be going on late next week.  Interior drywall has been hung and the drywall folks are in there taping and sanding all the joints.  There is a cistern that will be used to capture site run-off and hold it for clarifying prior to exiting the site, which will be installed in the back parking lot.

05-12-14: Station 5 Construction Update:

Work continues at a very good pace on our newest station.  Fair weather has allowed construction to stay on track with progress made both inside and outside the station. 

The wall around the perimeter of the station is nearly complete and looks great.  The windows have been installed and the roof is “stacked” with roofing tile.  Contractors continue to add to the interior mechanical systems: Electrical; HVAC, Plumbing; Fire Sprinklers; Data and low voltage; Doorways.  Exterior stucco and drywall on the interior should start next week.

Warmer weather has snakes heading out of their winter shelters, many of which could be around your home or business. The County of San Diego is urging residents to call the Department of Animal Services to handle these venomous reptiles. If you spot a snake, call (619) 236-2341.

February 13, 2014:

North County Fire Protection District Administrative Offices will be closed Monday, February 17th in observance of the Presidents Day holiday. Essential fire and EMS response services will continue through the holiday.

February 12, 2014:

The walls are going up!

February 6, 2014:

Station 5 is proceeding - the concrete has been poured and the wood is on site. The carpenters are laying out and setting up for the next stage of framing the walls.

January 28, 2014:

The slab has been poured for Station 5!

January 22, 2014:

Keeton construction and the subcontractors are hard at work at sunrise this morning.  The fire station footings are all poured and they are working on the underground electric, plumbing, steel, dirt removal and the application of sand underlayment.  They are expecting to pour the concrete for the floors by early next week! 

January 20, 2014:

The North County Fire Protection District Administrative Offices will be closed to the public Monday, Jan. 20th, in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Essential fire and EMS response services will continue through the holiday.
